My first 30 day Hub Challenge
Crazy enough to succeed? Crazy enough to try anyhow
Okay. Here goes. Vacation is over, it's the 1st of September (oops, 2nd, I already missed the starting block!), and as if getting back to work at home while having all of the electricity in my apartment rewired and the kitchen countertop replaced is not enough for the back to school days, now I'm attempting my first 30 Hub Challenge.
Am I an adrenaline junkie? I don't think so, but I do need a kickstart on hubbing. After the June Cookbook Contest I fell into a lull. I started reading more hubs about writing hubs than I did publishing hubs (could that be grammatically correct?). Now it's time to stop beating around the bush and select photos, edit videos, finish some of those drafts I started, get them out there, and develop some of the fresh ideas swirling around in my head.
Why now?
One of the reasons for doing the 30 day Hub Challenge at this particular point is that I've just launched a second HubPages account devoted to cooking and decorating, called Letitialicious. The challenge is a way for me to force myself to add content to it quickly, and at the same time promote it. But I also want to add content to my existing account, LetitiaFT. So what I'll be doing here is dividing up the 30 hubs between my original account and my second, niche account. Below I'll publish the hubs As I do them, including the number, the date, the account and a link.
So what is the "challenge?"
For me the biggest challenge involved is not just to get over 500 and preferably 700 words out there in cyberspace everyday, but to ensure they're meaningful to someone. Will I succeed? I sure as heck hope so. The biggest risk I see with the challenge is that of quality suffering in favor of quantity. If I see that happening, I'll stop. If for some reason I don't, I'm counting on you to stop me!
Keeping track
I'll use this first hub to keep track of progress. Though the ultimate goal is to up our google hits, I've included the number of followers at each installment because it still provides an indication of how visibility is improving.
